    Heerby sa-700 ?

It's quite a fat neck, but very comfortable to my taste (I don't like thin necks). I'd say between a gibson '50 and '60. More like a '50 but with a better profile. But this is very personal.

    Heerby sa-700 ?

I bought it as a A-700, what I think it is, but unfortunately no more infos from the seller. I regret I have no indication to date it. Sold as end of '70's. I'd say the headstock inserts are abalone, but not the fingerboard ones. The neck is very good to my taste and it allows for a very low...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

I'm newbie here, and I didn't want to make this post a war game place, I just want to share about guitars, so please, don't fight here, this doesnt help anyone... About the catalogs, I see what you mean, it's different than the other link, block inlays on the SA-900 adds some more doubt here. I...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

It is, in fact, here are some pictures. The block is in two parts: first part includes the neck pu then there is a gap and the bridge pu is floating like on a full hollow. Then, the block is there again to support the tailpiece and bridge screws. I was surprised to find no insert for this one...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

What do you mean, please explain some more? Did you have a look on this catalog? http://brochures.yokochou.com/guitar-and-amp/heerby/197x/en_p0506.html It seems that the PU are PL-107 on SA-900 instead of PL-103 ; picture shows SA-900 with dots on the fingerboard too, instead of block inlays...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Yes, it's here ; I'll try to write here about it this week end. But I already changed the PU for a Bare Knuckle set and I can confirm what you said about the construction. I took a few pictures that I plan to share here. In any case the result is a very pleasant guitar, very good neck...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Really? In the only doc I found they say it's mahogany as neck. I'm curious... I'll post a few pictures when I get the guitar. I Plan to set her a couple of Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday, so I'll have a look inside and tell here.

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Hi toweysan, sounds interesting... Would you explain some more? Is the top of the body "floating" upon center-block? Is it then set with the neck and back ?

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Yes, that's an argument... but this one isn't horrible as some Aria pro II or so... it's quite near the real thing, but with some personality

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Hi, felixcatus, You're right, but I can't have a try ; AFAIK the neck profile of both are in the same ballpark, in the 50's Gibson familiy, perhaps a little thinner. If this is exact, it's ok for me, I don't like very thin necks.

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Life is funny; was waiting for seller's bank informations to pay and another one comes to me with a '79 Greco A-700 in very good state. Here a few pics : Same price, not open book, though. Any advice welcome, I suppose it's very comparable quality, so it's hard to choose.

    Heerby sa-700 ?

I don't want to buy direct from Japan in fact, it was just to have some idea of the total cost to compare. So 700 would be a good price for this Heerby? So, this confirms Jacco's estimation in fact. I guess an equivalent to this in a better known label (Greco, Tokai) would be more expansive...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Yes, you're right it's mahogany neck and center block.

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Thanks for the links, felixcatus. Well, I'm a total newbie to japanese market, so , please would you help ? As I can see, average value based on the yen conversion would be near 400 ?? But there are taxes, custom, shipping to add? So how would it cost for one of these, to compare with the one...

    Heerby sa-700 ?

Yes, it's in fact very difficult to find some info on the web except the same catalog exerpt. Very few people semm to have or have had one, or even seen. Because of this, it's very difficult to give an average price, some peopole saying that it can' be sold for the same price than an...
