average price of 84' Goldstar in US?

oh sorry it is a ST50, U pickups, etc. Again, just trying to get a ballpark figure. I realize they aren't as rare and valuable as a Springy, which is fine... I just didn't know how to price it. Thanks.

average price of 84' Goldstar in US?

Due to some recent GAS, I'm thinking of selling my Goldstar.... it just doesn't get played. I could never bond with the larger C shaped neck. I'm not sure what the going price is for them in the states since they are not very common, especially with the correct headstock. Mostly original...

    NGD - Tokai USG35

hahaa... good point and thanks for the reply! :D Yeah, I have one of those as well... old Goldstar from 84... and a AST56 from around 1986.... no Love Rock... YET! But I am impressed with this inexpensive guitar. I went played some Gibson SG's over the weekend and thought my Tokai was just...

    NGD - Tokai USG35

I got it for $200 and so far I'm impressed by it. I imagine I will change out the tuners, bridge and maybe pickups/electronics. But finish is really nice and seems well-built. Certainly fills the gap for my Derek Trucks/Allman Brothers days and well worth $200 IMO.

NGD - Tokai Goldstar maybe 1984... now with PICS!!

Thanks! I think from what I've read its actually "vintage red" whatever that means. Not sure why it wasn't VR.. maybe that was already used for another color...?

NGD - Tokai Goldstar maybe 1984... now with PICS!!

Just picked up what I've calculated to be possibly a 1984 Goldstar in really good condition... aside from a replaced high E tuner (oddly enough I think from a ST-40) Anyone have a Tokai Kluson style one or set they want to sell? I'm in the USA. Pics and review to follow.

    AST-56 pics

Just got it in today. Here are the cavity and neck pics, along with the pickup assembly. Looks like a "V" stamped on pickups. So far seems to be checking out... not sure what approx date but I'm thinking mid 80's. Anyone have anything to add? Other than clearly I don't know how to attach...

    New guy here from USA

Yeah, I've seen that one... amazing when they isolate the tracks how David's guitar fits in the mix but really on its own sounds pretty bad.

not to hijack my own thread but there is a good article in Rolling Stone this month on making of Dark Side Of the Moon for all of the other Gilmour junkies out there... not that tells anything we didn't already know.

Not sure, kinda new to the whole Tokai stuff... been using the ESP japan stuff for awhile but that's not too hard to figure out. Trying to figure out the Tokai stuff is like the Da Vinci Code.

I'm sure they are great as well, the neck on my newer ST40 is excellent... it was the hardware that I didn't want to mess with.
