    ES60 First Impressions

JV - I know what you mean about over capitalising but the ES60 cost me under ?300 new, I have spent ?50 on a hard case and ?130 on the full set up/nut/tuners etc, so a total of under ?500. The next level up would cost me around ?1000 upwards so so I am still quids in. :D

Diamond is right. I had the work done because I wanted too not because I needed to. The guitar was very playable and it was only the tech's eye for perfection that meant a couple of the frets had to be leveled, I personally didn't notice or feel any issues. It was a matter of personal...

Mine is MIC. I have no point of reference to say whether a MIK would be better or not, except other posts on this forum, but I am still very happy with it. Mine looks just like the one on the right in the picture above except I have changed the tuners. I gigged it for the first time last...

    ES60 First Impressions

After hankering for a 335 for many years, but without the funds to buy the real thing, I recently bought myself an ES60. This guitar is by far and a way the best value for money guitar I have ever had. It plays well, sounds good and the build quality is fantastic. The only work I have had...

    Upgrade options for an ES60

It is going in on Saturday for a new bone nut and a set up. I am going to have that done first and then do a couple of gigs with it to see where, or if, I think it is lacking in any area. Thanks for the heads up on the pickups.

I would have loved to have caught this show. I have seen him twice, once in Bath and once on The Thekla (sp) in Bristol. On the Thekla I was so near the front I was in line with the PA so didn't get the full mix and all I could really hear was Chad's drums :( not that he is a bad drummer, but...

Thanks Diamond. Perhaps a new bone nut and a good set up is all it needs to start with.

    Upgrade options for an ES60

Hi. New Tokai owner here saying hello and hoping that the very knowledgeable people here can give me some advice. I have been a Parker player for many years, but I have always had a hankering to own a 335 (big Larry Carlton fan and all that). I can?t afford/justify the real thing at the...
