    Billy Gibbons playing Tokai

Check this shot of the same Love Rock featured in the YouTube clips of Brown Sugar, Jailhouse Rock, and La Grange within this thread... I suppose the Reverend decided to have a little fun with those that kept asking questions about the make of that fine, screamin' plank. Oh well, you know what...

    Billy Gibbons playing Tokai

I also must sing the praises of the Reverend. Being a spoiled resident of Austin, TX, we get to see Mr. Gibbons from time to time just dropping by local clubs to catch some good solid country music when he's in town (Redd Volkaert plays the Continental Club weekly-if you're not familiar, check...

    1980 LS-80 "Tres Hombres"

Thanks. That Bassman is a tone machine (and it'd sound a lot better with someone with some real skills)! That's a pawn shop find from many years ago, and its cab is a huge 2X15. Just playing at the house was highly infrequent, in that, to get that drive I was rattling windows and driving...

    1980 LS-80 "Tres Hombres"

Yeah, all three are LS-80 models manufactured in 1980. True to form, the LP Reborn and Reborn Old have "80" imprinted on the fretboard, but the Love Rock does not. As "villager" had shared photos of his highly flamed LS-80 a bit ago, I'll note both of these Burst tops seemed to have just...

    1980 LS-80 "Tres Hombres"

"Comparitively..." Please excuse the typo. I'll blame it on Shiner Bock.

    1980 LS-80 "Tres Hombres"

Camparitively, the weights are as follows: LP Reborn - 8.8 lb Reborn Old - 9.0 lb Love Rock - 9.2 lb As you can see, the fretboard on the LP Reborn is quite a bit lighter in color. And I'll swear you can tell a difference between them (which I happily embrace-I'll chalk it up to personality)...

    1980 LS-80 "Tres Hombres"

As motivated by f5joe's post, I'll contribute these shots of my "Tres Hombres" (1980 LS-80 Les Paul Reborn, Reborn Old, and Love Rock, respectively). I've just "officially" joined y'all on the post but have been simply a voyeur for several years. I certainly appreciate the knowledge and...

    My New Reborn LS-80 Flametop....

My 1980 LS-80 Les Paul Reborn has an interesting "edit" in the PU cavity. The LS-80 stamp is marked out by hand and corrected to 100. The top on this guy is nicely flamed, but the bottom half peters out a bit before the sides join. I guess an original purchaser of a flamed LS-100 wouldn't have...
