    Tokai LS85F Les Paul

Up for sale here is my Tokai LS85F Les Paul flame top in the gorgeous Heritage dark Cherry finish. Purchased new by me this year, this Tokai LS85F features a beautiful flamed sycamore top on a solid mahogany back, mahogany set neck, rosewood fingerboard, PAF vintage MK2 pickups, and the usual 2...

    ARRRGGHHHH!!!!

Oh wow - that's terrible man. I bet you feared the worst when you saw the gouge in the box and I can only imagine how you felt when you opened it up. Must be like being a kid and waiting ages for xmas only to get secondhand underpants! Best of luck with the insurance claim. Regards JohnS

Anyone find their Edwards lacks low end, authority...

Just as an update - I threw the WCR Godwood and darkburst pups in the Edwards just now and I am very pleased indeed with the result. Sadly my amp has died on me so I can only test on the guitarport but it's sounding very sweet to me indeed.

Anyone find their Edwards lacks low end, authority...

I have already ordered the Faber kit I'm afraid. I also have some CTS pots in both 500k and 300k around and a variety of caps, vitamin Q's, orange drops, and some old 0.22uf's around so I plan to make up a couple of new harnesses. One for the Edwards and one for the Epi. I've read that the use...

    Which would you recommend?

I'd think for home use you'll need to be looking at 5 Watts max for tube amps and even then you might want to look at attenuators if you intend to max it out for that cool classic rock overdrive. Or look forward to a lot of time alone on the sofa!

Anyone find their Edwards lacks low end, authority...

I'll confess that I also have an Epiphone Slash signature model that has a dark vintage sunburst finish. This guitar has a long neck tenon, Alnico Pro-II's, and a LockTone bridge and tail stop. At this point in time I regard it as the better guitar - certainly I feel it has a more articulate...

Anyone find their Edwards lacks low end, authority...

I'm waiting on a Darkburst/Godwood set to arrive from the States and then I'll be putting them in my Edwards honey burst 98LTS. I'm also going to replace the electrics and fit a Faber bridge and Tone-Lock stop piece. I sometimes wonder whether I should've gone for a Gibson - but then I remind...

    Edwards bridge replacement

I guess you are pointing me to those replacement bridge studs. Looks good! As I'm in England I'd like to order these directly from you when they become available. Regards John

    Edwards bridge replacement

Hi, Has anyone replaced the bridge on their Edwards Les Paul? I was comparing the mounting studs with my Gibson and Epiphones and the Edwards are really very thin. The Gibson and Epis have a size similar to the tail stop stud - maybe 10mm but the Edwards looks around 5mm. If you have replaced...

Edwards 98 LTS bridge pickup - Godwoods anyone?

Hi everyone, I just took delivery of a rather splendid Edwards 98 LTS in honey burst and am looking to replace the SD SH-4 in the bridge with something a whole lot more fat and vintage sounding. I really like the godwood soundclips on the WCR site and I'm wondering whether anyone has these in...
