    personally I don't think are particularly overpriced. I bought a Korean Gold top recently and Ok, some of the finishing is a little sloppy (glue around the nut etc), but after a wiring upgrade and a couple of Kent Armstrong pick ups it does the job for me. I would not say that it wipes the floor...

    For anyone else attempting this, remember that tokais need the long thread switchcraft switch - the standard one won't poke through the hole enough to screw on! Oh dear, I've just discovered that very problem! I can't find reference anywhere to a long thread switch though. I got mine from WD...

    Hi Roger thanks for the reply! I am a bit confused though! Ok Garagerat's diagram earlier in the thread has 3 wires coming of the switch? 1 each to both volume pots and one to the output? sorry to sound thick, but I appreciate any help! :)

    congrats Anders, I'm just about to do the same thing! I've never done it before either. Is that a switchcraft toggle you used? I'm just trying to get my head around the contacts on it and which wire goes where! :-?

    guys, I've got my goodies now, can I just ask, did you use the braided wire just for the toggle switch? as it's single core, I take it you have 2 runs of braided wire going up to the switch? thanks Nick
