I was 23, it was a Monday night if memory serves, and I had just come home from Bowling when it came across the TV news that he'd been shot. I went to bed and woke up the next morning to the news that he had died.

Re: Modifying guitars

I have a '59 Strat that someone heavily modified in the 1970's. I have now restored it (I won't go into the gory details) but it is still only worth 25% of what it would be if the guy had just left it alone! Rob Think about this, if they hadn't modified it would you have been able to afford and own...

I jam occasionally with a couple of chaps , one who owns a Fender Bullet, the other owns a Gibson "The Paul" and they both can't keep they're hands off my Love Rock. They of course are totally unaware of what a Tokai is and are not quite sure where or when it was made. I've told them that it's a cus...

I beleive a post on another th...

Looks like a fairly harmless Korean Love Rock to me.
But be careful, I hear that they're killers when you plug 'em in.

That would be a recent Korean ATE33 I would bet. I had one s/n F0601070 that I bought new about Feb. 2002. The Serial Number looks like a small decal at the bottom back of the headstock no? Here's a link to some pics. If you can enlarge the rear view you can see it. http://ca.photos.yahoo.com/bc/rat...

Here's one you would likely get with the opening bid of $489.00 which is about $100-150 more than I've seen them go for. Most sellers of these Tokai acoustics claim they don't know country of origin which is very convenient. I've owned a couple of the J-45 copies (actually J55 Tokai model) and they ...
