Thanks for the reply Mick, but I tend to disagree about them being inferior. I bought one of the Dillion made Tokai PRS copies and while it's a well made guitar, the back is not any kind of Mahogany I have seen before. At best it may be alder, it is heavy so def not basswood. The neck binding is al...

Very cool Rob! Patience is a very hard thing I know. You see a guitar and say "wow! I gotta get that before someone else does!" However, you should let the forum know what you're looking at to make sure you get a good deal. I don't think anyone here would snipe it from you, that's just not proper fo...

Very cool quilt bro, and love the color. Here's mine for a comparison: http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/xx280/axchisler/Tokai1.jpg and with the Koa top, http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/xx280/axchisler/100_0248.jpg Instead of the wraparound string method, you may want to check out this thread ab...

A V acoustic??? This I gotta see! I just recently bought a Fakai (Tokai, "Make In Korea") and for $290 US was a great buy. I agree with all the comments, mostly pickups. Acoustically sounds very good, loud and strong like an LP, but plugged in could use some help. Not bad but not great, not sure it'...

Very interesting Matti, supposedly all MKII's but very different values for the bridge pup. What's up with that?

Hey Mick, any idea why the MKII's (I got from Big Willie Style) would measure around 8K for the bridge rather than 11K. Did the 2007 SG 155 have different pups? MKIII's or MKI's?

I like when I can get an almost half cracked wah pedal sound when I turn the tone knob to 4 or 5 and that's what I'm getting with the BB's in my LS100Q. The other two guitars I have; the LS230 that has a black cap about half the size of the BB"s and the ObG GT that is stock, don't give me that sound...

I was just kidding about the A 11 thing, I know nothing about the pup ## except--- The weakest part of every Tokai Strat I have ever tried (and that's a few.....) has been the pickups. Your statement would be more accurate if it read; "The weakest part of every Strat I have ever tried (and that's a ...
