The guitar i was eyeing up,was a GRECO from 1989,flamed top,lemon drop...With a bit of digging ,i have found and realised it is a eg1000d with SD pups..Nice guitar ,i would love a high end greco,but i would prefer a super real egf-850 +model..

Just a quickie that another forum member might know the answer to,What colour were DRY Z bobbins & the later DRY 82s

Black-black
White-black
Black -white


Also what models high end model were available in 89-90..and what was the specs..

Yes JAPSTRAT..I think your correct and concur that the early K-orville might have been below par and corners cut in there production,mine was (if i remember right) was a 91 k-orville. 3-piece top 4 piece back Neck with heel Inlays loose and beguining to pop up... Sometimes i wonder how many K-ORVILL...

When i saw that orville on the bay...i had a look at it..Nothing special ,just a stripped terada made custom..probadly a K-sticker .I have not seen a lot of stripped custom mij guitars,but what i do know is that a good percentage of custom orville,grecos,burnys are made using multiple bits of lumber...

NO not as much as ?950... :o Around the ?730 mark,It comes with a greco hard case which would push the shipping price up .

YES JACCO ..I was puzzled by the 1983 serial number and why the thing had PU2 pups ,when it should have DTs. Came to conclusion the pickups were changed ,but it did make me take a step back form bidding on the guitar. There were no control cavity shots in the sellers auction photo link in the text e...

Heh hee How are you mr smith! 8) Yes i know only lousy veneer ...But i still think it was a reasonable price ,not a bargain ...I am sure that it might be a little overpriced if you happen to be in japan...And have the pick of crop to choose from...Maybe that is why someone from the west has brought ...

I was watching this GRECO eg59-85+ on yahoo ..Resisting the GAS !!! I have not got a nice greco egf,so was mighty tempted by the lowish price...
