Hi Mike,
spot on. alder and maple are VERY rare. However, in Tokai's 82 catalog there is one TE120.

Frankly, I did not know that Fender started alder bodies in 58. My take was that they were ash til 62.

Hi Mike!

I guess the LS85 has the newer 14:1 Gothos. I don't like them at all. You can get a set of 18:1s from Stewmac for some 60 USD. They are really stable.

While the Grovers are better they just don't look right. I have them on my 84 LS200 where they were factory fitted.

Could you please put some sound/details onto youtube?

The LS125SEB has vertical pieces of mahogany between 2 layers, which gives a very specific sound. Excellent sustain, very defined on the low end while maintaining reasonable highs. Pair her with a Dual Rectifier, 2x12 Black Widow and you are in heaven. The quality of all SEBs I owned (and I still ha...

I have 2 1979 DiM SDs (matched neck, bridge) I took them out of my 79 LS80 and still have them in my 81 LC65. Did not really plan to sell them. Both in excellent optical/working condition. Of course they are outragelously expensive! :D Interested? I teamed them with 61 47? bumbles to tame them just ...

I believe that's an 82 TE70 (binding, headstock logo, bridge). Clone of a 64 Tele. Fender started to use alder in 63 if I am not mistaken. The early 80 TEs were not historically correct as the Tele was not considered to be a good seller during this period. Not really for collectors, but a very good ...

If I am not completely mistaken the understanding is that Peter Green (or whoever) did not flip the pups but the polepieces on the pup on Peter's 59.

In any way I would never buy a Tokai with such a lousy documentation at this price.
