Nice checking technique.... what did you use? First of all I studied hundreds of pics of original ?50s Les Pauls as well as the images of Historic Makeover and RS-Guitarworks. To realize the checking I used the 'Tom Murphy'-checking-techniqes with a scalpel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGaLB2I2G...

To watch the Wikipedia-Info in?t enough, you need to READ it !! Then you?ll find all you need! The first format is MYYPPPP. * M = production month (A=January B=February ... K=November L=December). * YY = year (79=1979). * PPPP = production number. The second format is YPPPP. * Y = year (9=1979 0=198...

In the case of the ORVILLE & ?piphone LP?s they do not exist. I started modding the ORVILLE LP Junior the day she arrived from Japan. Some photographs of the ?pi exist but I have no scanner. This is a pic of the unmodded EDWARDS E-LP-92 SD/P, taken by former owner BigEd: http://i779.photobucket.com/...

THANX for your compliments! I used this 3M 'reconditioning-sponge' (Pic 1) for car paint. It took some serious time but the result is great. I don?t know the correct name of the product, a nice guy from an auto body shop gave it to me for free. The finish looks awesome now and feels even better! I?d...

What about this one?:

O.K., it?s a bit 'rocked', but looks great. Frets & board need some basic cleaning, otherwise it?s in your price-range.

All the best,

I have a ?81 GRECO Super Power EGC-500 cherry sunburst, identical to the guitar you?re showing. It?s a great LP custom -model with all the specs you need. Great PUs, super...
