They look nice Pete, but at ?699 they aren't cheap, you can pick a used Goldstar up for 3-400, or a Fender Japan model or a Fernandes Revival for about the same.

?699 would probably get you a used Bacchus.

Got a black alder body, I think it was originally an axesrus one. Takes a standard Fender neck, nice weight, a few small marks, and hidden scrathplate holes but overall very good. ?45 posted??

Cheers John unfortunately I live up in Wick now so my nearest shop is 2hrs away in Inverness! I`ll read up a bit and try and sort it myself. Not sure if my pu`s are the original Gotoh`s as they have nickel covers and I thought most LS50`s had exposed coils? Not in Co Durham then! If you are new to ...

Thanks.
Have you seen one 'in the flesh?' FO is Tokais worst colour IMO, looks nothing like the Fiesta Red it's supposed to resemble. But then again I like Marmite :)

It could be a few things, out of phase pickups, i.e. the + & - leads connected the wrong way, or the tone controls wired backwards, I would really advise you to take it in somewhere and have them check over your wiring.

The GOTO pickups in the LS50's are really nice BTW, they should sound just fine

Lovely, see if you can pick some of the Japanese Tokai MK II pickups up off ebay, they tend to sell for not a lot and are really nice,

That's my favorite look for a Strat, I once had a Fernandes Mary Kaye model, wish I hadn't sold it :(

Where are they selling these in the UK?

Sorry, don't intend to steal your thread Tokai1981. I think this question is of interest to both of us. How much would I have to pay for a Tokai LS80 or LS100 in good original condition? In Europe? In Japan? In USA? The best deals at the moment are in Europe, especially if you live in Europe, The S...
