No reason, just laziness and wanting to get the post up. But, I should have included prices and will update the posting.

Dating a Burny SG

Hi all, I have a Burny SG for sale in various places (it's listed in the classified here as well). I have a gentleman questioning my description that it was manufactured in the early to mid 80s. His contention is that the frets over the binding is evidence tah it was manufactured in the early 2000s....

FS: ESP Ron Wood Telecaster - $950

ESP Ron Wood Telecaster. This is not LTD model, but a Japanese made model that sells for over $2,000 new. Fairly straight forward tele with a neck humbucker, maple neck/fretboard, red alder body with double binding. The fret radius is pretty flat, I'd estimate at 12". Like all ESPs and other japanes...

Holy cow, there are some nice guitars for sale right now. My experience with Navigator has been exemplary. I'm lucky enough to own a N-LP-400CTM (54 Black Beauty) that's been discontinued. The care that went into creating it is evident in how it plays and sounds. I'm sure that whoever snags this wil...

Are you sure us North America people can't convince you to ship that baby over here? I have a killer LS-320, and I am very tempted by yours.

I have this exact guitar, except mine is a '78. I also have a sunburst model that is an '82. Both are exceptional guitars that I will never get rid of. You just never see this particular model come up for sale that often. Whoever snags this will not be sorry.

Tokai w/ Rolph Pickups Question/Request

Does anyone here that owns a fairly recent high end Tokai w/ Rolph pickups have any pictures of the back of the pickups and (if uncovered) pictures of the side of the coils? I purchased a set of Rolphs used and want to compare what I have to other Rolphs.

I'm bumping this up as I just got off the phone with Mr. Rolph. As villager noted, a very lovely man who really is an artisan. He doesn't want to create a pickup that has his own touch, he wants to create a pickup that is as close to the original as possible. I ended up ordering a set of his '58 mod...

Jonas,

That is simply stunning! It's the first 320 or higher that I've seen that I seem to like the top even better than mine. Damn straight you're keeping it (but please do call if you change your mind).

What pickups are in it now? I love the look of double whites with that finish.

Heck yeah, I'll talk about it as long as there is someone to listen. It's 100% original with the Seth Lover pickups and factory electronics. I'm a bit of a tinkerer when it comes to pickups especially, but have felt no need to swap out the Seth Lovers. They seem to be perfectly matched, at least to ...

I'll play! 2003 LS-320VF. I've had an absolute love affair with this guitar since I was lucky enough to snag it 3 or so years ago. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c270/currypowder1/Current%20Gear/Tokai/DSC03695.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c270/currypowder1/Current%20Gear/Tokai/DSC03691.j...

I know there will be some disappointed potential buyers out there. But, IMHO, that's the right decision. 320s are just too special.
