I don't have one but as I understand it from Tokai it is literally an LS150 with that inlay and comes with the case that LS150s should come with!

We have a black LC53 here, lovely lovely guitar, the one we have is made in Korea, but I think the brand new ones coming onto the market now are Chinese.... or maybe just some are

We don't have a leftie though I am afraid!

We had one in the shop, just sold before Christmas unfortunately... A very nice guitar indeed, great full bodied tone that would certainly benefit from some bigger strings (we had 11s on ours for some reason!) lovely playability but as you say, impossible to get hold of!!! I am pretty sure Tokai UK ...

I A-B'd my LS150 against a Gibbo LP Studio and I am afraid I did prfer the pickups in the Gibbo! HOWEVER... pickups can be changed and the build quality, playability and finish of the Tokai were far superior... besides other may prefer the tone of the Tokai pups anyway, but for me they lacked bright...

Hi Jamie, thanks for the reply.I have an ALC53 in vintage white,it's defo an ALS53 i mean. I'm just wondering if it may be the lefty version of the ALS48,but that would indicate a higher price, something Tokai doesn't do. If i knew how to post a link i would. Hmmm.. I am not sure about the ALS...

Excellent post.

What a shambles though, seriously, I love Tokai guitars and have always got on well with bob, but this repeated failing is seriously not good enough.

I am glad I declined to order any of these!!

Good luck with sorting it all out Rich!

I am still waiting for a shipment of LS48s that I had ordered in September, for November delivery for Christmas sales.... They shouldn't be hard to supply!!!!! As far as I am concerned where Tokai guitars are concerned, I will ONLY offer for sale what I have in stock!!! It is ridiculous, but I don't...

Jamieh all I have to say is: L150 You're having a laugh. L150 You're having a laugh. My colour choice didn't turn up. However, I've still got a deposit on the LS150. Come to think of it, I've got a deposit on a LS1000 too!!! That really is CRAP man!! I am very sorry for you! What colour did you wan...

This thread appears to have got distinctly silly! The LS1000s will be coming very soon I feel sure... having said that, I have deliberatly chosen NOT to order any for stock or on behalf of any customers this time round following the chaos after the LS150s. However... BADGER (was it you)... you SHOUL...

Yes. The Tokai subtle change to it to make the guitar legal is that there is a slight dimple in the middle of the open book design. The true open book headstock does not have this. There are not meant to be any true open book headstock guitars sold in the UK now, but somehow that isn't always the ca...

Yeah, for some reason they are UK only Dunno why! They are coming in to the country in 2 batches as I understand it, 50 around now and 50 in the New Year sometime! I know Richtone are taking deposits for them. I am not bothering because of the chaos that errupted last time I took deposits for Tokai ...
