you should probably subtract relief, and if that doesn't work you should take it to a qualified tech for a heat treatment. This will cost about $75 and is totally worth it. ALSO, that sounds suspicious... I'd leave the neck as-is for now and take a good look at your frets. You might have a high fret...

that's cool. If all the parts are there that brings the value up considerably.

i had an 83 LP custom flametop, very well made, excellent craftsmanship, looked awesome... very heavy and like you said sounded like stone... didn't resonate at all. May as well have been made out of solid rock.

im not a goldstar sound expert. It will be easier to tell about its quality when you get it and can provide us with some details (i.e. what is stamped on the back of that one pickup etc)

i always keep two guitars out but the rest are in cases. Paladin is right about "you play them more if they are out." That's true for me anyway.

We got a 2 bedroom apt just so I would have a place to keep all my music stuff. I keep a hygrometer and humidifier in there...

It's a little insane but I play several instruments and since I actually make money doing this 'music' thing my wife is understanding.

i totally have never been able to understand owning so many similar guitars. Don't get me wrong i'm not judging, I just don't understand it. I have as many guitars probably but they're all vastly different from each other. What's your motivation for so many les pauls? Does each one have a very disti...

that's a tricky one... you never really know. In present condition I'd say that I personally would pay $200 US without blinking. Don't know what that says about actual market value though.

TST-62 for $300 on Craigslist NY

if anyone is in the NYC area there is a TST-62 natural finish (the guy says 1985 or 1986) for $300... a really good deal. HOWEVER there has been a kahler tremolo installed

this is a silver star, not a springy sound, so it would be SS-XX instead of ST-XX.

It's probably not a 60 or above... might be an SS-38. These are often very fine guitars by some accounts but i've never played a silverstar. They certianly look cool.

look at the model numbers. With a few exceptions the higher number models of any given year Tokai are the better quality. ST-60 and above strats from the 80s are really really good ... TST-55 and above are good... etc. I'm no tokai les paul expert but I'm sure someone here can help you out there.
