3K for an LS150 in Oz......huh? RRP is $2199 AUD. Don't know where 3K came from, the internet LOL? 20%off is $1759. With warranty. The LS90, when you do not have to include the Duty or GST, does work out cheaper. Unless you have been bringing in a stream of guitars and the ATO send up a flag, you by...

Re: LS90 V LS150 - is there really any difference in sound?

And one more question...if anyone could tell me how much import tax (if any) I'd be likely to pay on a guitar from Japan to Australia, that'd be great. For any import into Oz, that is above the $1000.00 threshold, you pay 5% Duty and 10% GST. Plus any other incidentals that may come up. So, typical...

Around 2005, Tokai received a batch of 3A, I think it was, Maple. Nice timber. So, a run of 1 piece Mahogany backed, 2 piece 3A Maple topped, Lacquer Finished with USA pots, caps, switch and jack was produced. The fretboard inlays were organic rather than acrylic too, from memory. '05 LS150 8) They ...

Flamed Maple. Veneer over maple top. Colour is Lemon Drop.

It is an LS98F, from the Vintage Series. Full spec is on the Tokai Gakki website.

It is a good photo to show what they actually look like, close to in the flesh. Maybe a little overexposed, but close. They are nice.

Do you like it?
I could reliably predict that when the instrument is finished, that Minoupark will be more than satisfied. In fact, I am sure that it will exceed his expectations.
OK, now that you have actually had it in your hands......... .....was I right? :D 8) I looks fabulous from here

That would be the counterbore into the maple so that the inserted bushes are flush with the finished top.

Nice clean work. Maple, not plastic.

She is going to be a beauty when she is finished.

#2 top- Looks to me like an unacceptable irregularity. I do not see mineral at all. It looks like a splice of wood and a blemish. Its a second (flawed) offer after a a primary tooling mistake of the Custom order for a left hand guitar. Order should be redone. Not lame options... 2 wrong = no right....

Re: My LS125F is actually a LS135F

:o Just found out my LS125f is a LS135F, apparently they changed from LS125F to LS135F in oct/nov 2007 and mine has an 08 serial number :D so I guess that makes it an LS135F  Phil..........sigh Mate, I don't know where the "wisdom" came from to make you believe that your LS125F was actually an...

It is always a good idea to wipe your guitar down after playing. If you have a gig bag, or a case, store it away in them. Wipe the strings, both on top and slip your cloth underneath to clean off the underside. Give the tailpiece, the bridge and the pickup covers a "breath" so that they fog up and t...

Hi there,

A Talbo from Oz to Maryland would be around $102 AUD, for a 6kg consignment.

We only use FedEx. It has proven to be the most reliable service to the USA, Canada, UK and Europe.

I believe you know which models we have, PM me if you are interested and I can send pics.

Is it? How can you tell? Mike Serial number. What is with the extra 50 on the end? Made in China painted on. Should be a sticker, or nothing. Pickup surrounds are wrong, ie too low. Tuners are the wrong colour. Tuner bushes are wrong. No felt washers under strap buttons. The back of the neck looks ...

Save a rainforest on the other side of the world? Apparently some degree of concern is about that, because this kind of legistlation work is done: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=hr111-839 A lot of emotional rhetoric. A softened, 2009 call to restore democracy and the capitalist b...
