Les Paul Bass - any experience yet?

Yesterday I saw and heard Alanis Morissette on TV with a fantastic concert in Germany 2005 where her bass player played Les Paul basses (one in violin finish and one in black) with an awesome sound, somehow a mix between a Fender Precision and a Rickenbacker with lots of really deep and rich tones. ...

Re: Tokai FS70

I think it is an FS70. It has made in Korea stamped on the headstock but no serial number. Does this mean it's a fake and not made by Tokai? It's an FA70, the only archtop that Tokai builds, and it's made in Korea, so it doesn't have a serial number stamped into the headstock like the MIJ models. D...

By the way, www.vintaxe.com has a new forum as well, so it might make sense to ask about your Vox guitar there, too.

Re: The Kasuga connection...

Searching for more info I found this site with another forum, too: http://www.vintaxe.com/ http://www.vintaxe.com/cgi-bin/eboard30/index2.pl?frames=no&board=vintaxe&mode=Current They even host some Tokai catalogs that are not available here (e.g. the one from 1983), but unfortunately not for free: ...

I also wondered if there really is an Escort guitar, because all I could find were references to the amp with that name. Anyhow, you could also check the different models pictured at the Vox Showroom if some of them look similar to yours:

Some Harmony Central reviews, without pictures though:

Maybe you'll find more info in the Vox forum, but you have to register to read there:

Re: Is this possible on a LS-120 Reborn?

This Tokai claimed as LS120on the auction above has got a circuit board instead of the regular for high end models point to point wiring. Is this possible? Yes, because in 1980 the LS120 wasn't the highest model, it was the LS200 already. But nevertheless this is a very rare beauty, lightweight, gu...

The "Vault Radio" already plays them, but you need a DSL connection to listen, because they stream at 128 kbps MP3, otherwise you don't hear anything (like me) or only stuttering: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/Static.aspx?Type=Audio/Radio.htm&CategoryID=RA&LeftNav=Audio/RadioNav.htm&nhbx=1 From ther...

The back of the headstock would be interesting, because of the Grover tuners and the serial number, and the truss rod cover is not the Love Rock version (either Reborn or Gibson). Otherwise it looks great of course. How much is SF 2,600 in Euros?

Are there any other pictures perhaps? And do you belong to that shop in Switzerland maybe coming from the same town?
