True enough....the tuner installer at the Korean factory does have a bit of an issue lining them up. And true...if you put crappy pickups in a guitar, it will sound like crap.

Is a CNC machine in Korea better than a CNC machine in Japan?

How do you know that the guy working in the Korean factory produces lower quality than the guy in the US factory? Maybe the Korean b ...

Apparently there are a limited number of Tokai strats assembled in Canada from Japanese parts floating around out there. Does anyone own one? Has anyone played one? What are your toughts?

I'm not sure of the differences because I have not played either, but as far as model names go, JSD Guitarshack has one on his site called the "NSG" that is a Korean model if that helps.

Even to totally gut the MIK, and replace with top of the line hardware, the guitar would cost $800 CDN with case and taxes + $500 for mods = $1,300. A Japanese LR would cost probably $1,600 or $1,700 ...
