A lot of st 60's had 'E' pickups, but some had 'U's, all ST 50's have 'U' pups, so if it has 'E's it will definately be a 60, if it has 'U's it could be either a 50 or a 60.... that's the first thing ...

I think we used to use the word condenser in the UK, before we used the word capacitor in electronic circuitry.

Well Ritchie Blackmore probably had his own guitar tech. to do it for him.
If you don't get your intonation right, your guitar will be out of tune at the dusty end of the fret board.

That is interesting, always hard to get the low E correct, normally have to tune it a bit low to be able to get a decent sounding G chord!
So do you lower the pickups right down, set intonation, then ...

Good effort Hodge, you can hear the slight differences between the pickups/fretboards. I thought the LP blue sounded more articulate, both great sounding axes though.
