I've owned an st40, st 50 and an st60. The biggest difference I found, was as Peter says 'the neck shape' of the '60' very subtle but you really can feel the soft v of the neck.

Would it have a '50' sticker if it were a 1980? Thought it would have had the 50 stamped on the last fret, could be an '81. Looks great either way.

I had a MIK LS and it did not have a serial number, sounded ok. This one might sound even better with the uprated pups. Price is a bit steep, would have thought nearer 250-300, but I don't know what ...

Incredible, when you think the 1977 3 tone burst Fender Stratocaster I had, had a SEVEN piece body, no kidding! Great pickups in it though.

Wow, looks like a genuine 1979 st 60, the model number is stamped on the fret board. Someone with more experience will know for sure, but looks good to me, congrats.
