The serial no tells us its an 1984 (along with the logo, wrong type for 1980) ?250 would be a good price. Its pretty close to what I paid for mine 18mths ago from Japan (inc shipping\tax).

Looks genuine to me, 1984 from the s\n. Good price at the moment. These are going to start getting more expensive with the current exchange rates.

Thanks, I have been reading Guitarist from the first issue. Its a great mag but I can never remember them doing a really good detailed article on Tokai or other MIJ guitars like Greco, Burny, Orville ...

I have a 79 ss36 with Maple neck, I paid a similar amount for mine, I think they are fantastic value and must be the vintage guitar bargain out there.
