I got the same case from Richtone and I think it's a lovely case for the money and of course a perfect fit.

My point is that some people get hung up on the 'incorrect' dimple, when really the headstock looks nothing like a Gibson with or without.

I like the fact mine says Tokai, I bought a Tokai not a Gi ...

I like the idea of keeping Tokai a MIJ exclusive name too, although the MIKs have been going for so long it might become a recipe for disaster years down the line (vintage MIK?)

You might need to post some better pics up. Also you talked about the serial number but didn't post a picture of it

To get rid of the crackling you need some electrical switch cleaner.

I actually thought I'd bought a Gibson. It turned out I needed new glasses.

On the plus side, I was able to buy new glasses with the money I saved

It's the same spec guitar. Tokai number their models based on the price in yen so an LC85 would be 85,000 YEN.

The price goes up with inflation and thus the model numbers change periodically. That ...
