did you get your Tokai used? Because new, isn't the Bacchus cheaper?

No...bought the Tokai brand new from Japan a couple years ago - about $1300 delivered

The Bacchus was about $1900 delivered. ...

Sure.. rings like a bell... you can also feel the resonance thru the body and the neck. Mind you though, it's a solid maple top (not veneer) and a one piece back.... I do think that makes a differen ...

I don't own any so I can't comment they do say though at the factory that the classic is the closest to the live road and also to a Gibson.

I read that your Bacchus and your Tokai sound quite diffe ...

Another question:

I was reading that a proper Burst sounds great acoustically and resonates like crazy when played unplugged, whereas most of the Historics don't. What about higher-end Tokais?

The neck angle on a LP does have an effect on the tone.

the 160 correct in that regard?
