As you said.... that's your opinion. I think they are some of the best off the shelf STANDARD issue pickups around.... I've never swapped out MKII's whereas I've swapped out what people consider u ...

As one of those people who bought a Tokai blind (gold korean made explorer) I'm with those above who wouldn't think twice about it... although I'm not so sure about the chinese made ones.
The Japanes ...

Change what ever you feel like changing dude.
Personally I wouldn't bother with the Buzz Feiten system.
You shouldn't need to upgrade the bridge, as mentioned above.
I never quite understood why yo ...

AS mentioned above those internals look standard tokai 80/90 to me.
But those gibson pickups probably make it a bargain as they could fetch you good money if you sell em, they'd most definitely cost ...

I will admit that I'm not the worlds biggest fan of old guitars, mainly due to the prices they command.
That said a top notch 1980 LS200 for $6100 probably better value than you'd pay for a similar v ...

My god that's over three and half grand in UK money...
That would buy me one hell of a custom made guitar

That does look mighty fine, and those early eighties Tokais are the holy grail for some people.
Still a darn site cheaper than an original '59 Gibson

Hey, guys, is RichTone Music a reliable vendor? With all the talk of Fakais I've been reading on this boards, I'm scared I might get a fake one.

That's an easy one - yes. There are lots of satisfi ...

That's a tricky one.
Second hand Seymour Duncan humbuckers tend to go for ?30-?40 each, but you get quite a few of those flying about so the prices are pretty stable.
Personally I reckon ?10-?15 eac ...

I'm sure you forgot to ask about the MK11 pickups, , I bet you're thinking you'll have to "upgrade" them.
You won't, they're excellent, genuine thick fat growling LP tone, with nothing ...

The present MIK Tokai explorers are pretty good, but the necks are pretty clump for my hands.
Old Ibanez Destroyer II's are good guitars but, in my opinion, fetch too much cash for what they are.

I do love tokai guitars but I find the stock pups to be the weak link on the sub ?1K models.
The MKIV's that were in my Explorer very dull and weedy (vastly improved with some A5 mags) and the MKII's ...

I'd quite dig that sort of build quality and features for a more realistic price.

how about this?

Yep, that woul ...
