So, as we discussed, it is a 2 piece back. I thought so.

Re: Covid-19 Question

In the short term IMO guitars will be the last concern of 99.999999999999999% of the population. Then what will be the concern? Everything is closing; schools, restaurants, gyms aka fitness centers, hotels closing, airline bookings going down faster than a $5 whore on a politician, Las Vegas is a gh...

Re: your les paul is so heavy?

I own about a dozen LP types that range from the low 7 pound ball park to the 9 1/2 pound area. All of these examples are the typical solid mahogany back with the carved maple top :D from several different MIJ makers. 8) I typically prefer the lighter weight examples but my favorites are in the 8 po...

Re: Pots aka Potentiometers - A couple of interesting reads

Sorry you didn't find the supplied links of interest, nor the info on pots of use. I know I learned a few things from the two posted links, and I thought the info may be useful to others; possibly. My interest within the context of the thread was specific to pots, and was never about caps, nor cap c...

Re: Bacchus BLP-FM Relic Looks Like the Rev's 'Pearly Gates' now with Dry Zs

I did a lot of digging on the 'interwebz' and it seems there is some consensus that the Dry Z have Alnico 3 magnets. It would seem the Dry Z has a fairly lower output & DCR. I suppose this could account for my perception of the pots functioning differently once I installed the Dry Z set but I am use...

Magic?
I agree there is nothing magical about pots but I did locate some interesting & quite useful info within the two linked articles, and I actually learned a few things. :)
Cap colors?

Pots aka Potentiometers - A couple of interesting reads

I'm not up to speed on the whole volume pot/tone pot thing & was digging around; located a couple of interesting articles on pots. Pots are something that I typically don't think about much but the recent installation of the Dry Zs in my Bacchus BLP-FM Relic got me more interested. The reason being ...

Re: Bacchus BLP-FM Relic Looks Like the Rev's 'Pearly Gates'

Finally got the 1981 Dry Z matched set installed in the 2011 Bacchus BLP-STD FM Relic. I forgot how clean (dry) & articulate the Dry Z is & also when you turn it up it gets mean & dirty too. :D These are so different than the SDs; I will need to leave the Zs in for some time to evaluate how well the...

don't know but the tenon & the pup routes look very Tokai; I'll guess made by Tokai, early 1980s
