Surprisingly, intonation actually stayed quite good, not perfect but close to. In any case I'll fo...

Once you have replaced the posts do not screw the tailpiece down as far as it is in your photo. was gonna point that out myself Thanks for the hint. I must admit I kept the tailpiece height the way it was when I received the guitar. I can see your point as now the strings contact the back side of t...

Thanks for the tip and clear instructions, that seems to be an easy and inexpensive fix indeed!

Still if anybody can recommend a good tech here in Germany I would still be interested to know for the next time I need the guitar checked.

Woaoo Amazing!! What I find interesting is that in my ears the BG pups sound sensibly different when mounted on the two guitars while the Dry Z's sound more similar. Was it also your feeling when you hear them live? If yes, would one say Dry Z's will sound great in any guitar, but yield more or less...

My uneducated feedback so Mr. Phantom gets more than one reply and gets rewarded for the nice comparison effort.

My ranking: 4, 2, 3, 1

I really like #4 especially during the second half of the test, for the 1st half they all sound good to me.

my two cents.....

The guys at real standard are very nice and helpful and you can communicate with them in english via e-mail. They do...

@ Diamond: oops! Sorry you're perfectly right that's not what I meant yesterday when I typed my post. Neck and Fretwork are actually perfect + absolutely no set up or trussrod adjustment needed, guitar was ready to play out of the box. Well, after tuning it :) It's now corrected in original post @JV...

NGD: tokai HLS420 ordered through Musicland/Tenso

Hi guys! My first post here but I've been browsing the forum for a long time gathering useful info. First of all thanks to all of you who make this forum an unvaluable source of knowledge about MIJ guitars. Without your insights I would never got to know Tokai guitars and which model to buy. Since I...
