Tokai Springysound ST85N (1980) FOR SALE

For sale is my 1980 Tokai ST85N. However, the electrics and pickups were removed by a previous owner. The gentleman I purchased this from restored the instrument with top quality replacements. This is a Tokai clone of the 63/64 Strat. The guitar is 39 years old and has some minor dings and buckle ra...

Request for opinions on Breezysound on Gumtree UK

I have come across a Breezysound and wanted to ask the forum's opinions on it: https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/japanese-tokai-telecaster/1216652876 I have asked for details on the model number, etc, but have been only been told its 10 years old. I'm guessing the quilted top may help iden...

Hi Esben, I bought a MIJ Tokai from Mark about 18 months ago. The guitar was exactly as described, it was well packed (with a hard case) and I was very happy with my purchase. You may find cheaper guitars online, but Mark has built up a good reputation as a MIJ specialist seller and, in my opinion, ...

I see that Baird Sound Systems in Belfast have a selection of new Tokais (bairdsoundsystems.com). They have a good reputation for their customer service. Alternatively, I have an LS320 in the Classifieds :P I hope this helps.

LS320 Feeler

This is a feeler on selling my 1999 Tokai LS320 in violin finish. This is a single cut LP hand made in Japan. The original case is included along with the pick guard, which has never been fitted. Pickups signed by both Seymour Duncan and Seth Lover. The only changes to the original specification (gi...

Thanks to everyone who sent a PM. I have now tried a dab of nut sauce and it has worked a treat! Weird thing is, after saying I'd never sell her, now I'm not too sure :-?

Hi Luis, Thanks for your reply. I'd be very keen to know what other improvements you think I should make in addition to the tuners. I had initially thought about trying to buy just one replacement tuner for the G string, so I posted a wanted ad in the classifieds section. I included a photo in the a...

LS320 Tuner Replacements - Advice Needed

Hi, I currently have an LS 320 (1999), which is a fantastic guitar. The only problem I’m having with it, and which seems to be a flaw with many LP type guitars, is that it has less tuning stability compared with, say a strat or a tele. I have particular difficulty with the G-string staying in tune a...

Hi,

I am looking for just one tuner to replace one on my MIJ LS model from 1999. The photo below shows what they look like.

Thanks for your advice Dave, its much appreciated. I have a feeling that I'm unlikely to find anything better than the Tokais locally. The GAS goes on!

I'm not often down in Dublin, but I'll check it out before going there if I'm heading that way (I'm more likely to be in London with work). I called into Brian Keenan's place in Belfast recently, but he didn't have any PRS in stock. My perception is that PRS seem to take more care and attention in b...
