I have bought the SA1200 from Alex, just received yesterday. Beautiful guitar, full of stories... plays amazingly well, sounds terrific. If I hadn't read about the broken headstock, I would have never known it was there at some point (except for the change in color of course...) , the repair is real...

Yeah, with this kind of finish, you don't really care anymore about a new dent in the guitar...

@Alan : not so sure. Some people put the body in a freezer for a short period of time I think. Not sure if that's how he did it actually.
Some other people do the weather checking with a scalpel (Tom Murphy I think ?)

Marcus, it did cost 500€ in total. Around 580 USD. Rather reasonable I think. That's quite an investment in a Burny - but I must say it looks awesome. Did you upgrade/replace pickups, hardware and electronics? Where are Relic Art Guitars located? You're right, that's almost as much as the guitar it...

My reliced Burny RLG-50

Got this guitar last year, a 1983 model if I'm correct. A nice guitar, but was never too fond of the finish. https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2018/21/3/1527078677-33243557-10215266056618424-4085413346252161024-o.jpg So I found a guy specializing in refinishing and relicing, I asked him something...

Thanks for the input guys.
Indeed it has a brass (or rather copper foil ?) under the pickguard.

Maybe a ST-70 in the end, as it has a 6 digit serial number ?

Cool coincidence, I also purchased this week a 1984 Candy Apple Red Goldstar from a pawnshop, but with a rosewood fingerboard. Got it for what I think is really good price. Obviously the guys didn't know what they had. I first I thought it would be a ST-50, but I am not so sure now as it has a 6 dig...

Well, pickups have a U stamped on them.
From what I have read on another site, the ST-60 should have 8 screws for the pickguard (mine has 11), and a round string tree (mine is the standard one). So I likely have a ST-50. Still a great guitar.
