Thanks for the information.

One more question:
Is this finish properly called sunburst or flameburst?

I am about to offer the guitar for sale and want to be correct in the description.

Help required to identifying 1982 Love Rock, please.

I would like some assistance, please, in identifying this guitar. I purchased it used, in 2003, from a US serviceman stationed in Okinawa This is what I have assumed by referring to your site and the LP site. The serial number 2012968 suggests that it is a 1982 production. The 2-hole truss rod nut c...

"I couldn't see him giving me the wrong information because it involves a lot of people and i am sure it would upset someone."

Not guitar related, but a story that may support this. In 1988, I purchased a Datsun 2000 (Fairlady) racecar project that was rumored to be one of the infamous ?Purple Panel? cars. The story went that, as Datsun were trying to market their sports car in America, successes in SCCA racing would help t...

I would like to get more opinions on which guitars on the list might be considered more 'keepable.' I'm not a speculator, nor am I a 'real' player. I hope soon to have the time to learn and practice. I would appreciate advice from those who do play well, and often. Some specific questions. One I wil...

I know it's the answer to everything on here, but pics are the only way for us to tell what you have. If you start with detailed pics of the guitars in one piece, making sure you include details of any stickers, stamps etc, it might be possible to identify most of them. If some prove difficult to I...

Pruning Tokai collection -need advice and opinions

In 1999 I bought my 1st Tokai, a black MAT. Impressed with reviews, and the quality of Tokai guitars, I bought more. And more. And you know the rest. Now I need to prune the collection to a reasonable level, but need your advice. I would like to keep some player guitars and some special models. What...

Electric Hummingbird

Read your post with interest.
I have 2 early (late 60's, early 70'S??) Tokai 'TG' Hummingbirds. They are very definately made by Tokai.
Was yours a contempory Eastwood re-issue or an early one like mine?

85 Tokai ATE-61 sn:L27025 on eBay. Need appraisal.

This is a an original sweet guitar and a glorious player, but it's tax time and I need to thin my large Tokai collection...
