'81 tokai es-100

Have to sell some guitars sadly enough to make some room (children...) :( Anyway, one of the nicest es100's I have ever seen, definitely the nicest one I have owned. Cherry Red. Plays as good as it looks. https://www.flickr.com/photos/124367246@N02/albums/72157656826915175 I will make some more pict...

Just lovely! Are these generally heavier due to the all mahogany body? That is SO nice... Congratulations! Unusual headstock on that one though, what's that about? My ES100 has the same weird logo, very interested to hear the story behind this. Just tokai copying Gibson. Google gibson artisan. "The...

fender japan all rosewood

Just wanted to share this one, picked it up a few months ago.. All rosewood fender japan, not one of the recent laminates. Will probably sell it in the long run as I hardly play any solid bodies these days, but I do enjoy picking this one up now and then so she can stay for a while. :) https://farm2...

Lc100 has an ebony board, ls100 rosewood.. i doubt anyone can hear the difference between the two, but i also think thats the same for a maple vs mahogany cap..

Yeah i know, but it’s weird the ebony on this one is completely different from the one on my lc-100 and on the es-150’s.. i always thought ebony was denser.. the grain on this one looks more like regular rosewood.. I’m no expert.. just saying it’s different on mine and that it’s weird they used diff...

81 tokai lc 110. I would have expected different tuners, but there arent many 110’s out there so not sure. The lc100’s had wafflebacks..(but also diamond inlay so who knows..)
Tailpiece also looks exchanged for a newer one..
I would buy that! Let me know if you don’t

I had 3, still have 2 and they all differ in neck thickness.. the sunburst one had a really thick neck, similiar to my gibson es-175 vos. The natural one and cherry have a thinner neck. lovely es-150! The binding on those is always more yellow then on the es-100's. Definitely different lacquer. They...

Not sure how inferior they are compared to 4 screw tuners, but the 4 screw ones were used on the more expensive basses, 60 and up. So when buying a tokai bass people look for the 4 screw ones.. atleast that's what i do.

In 8 years of following MIJs I have seen maybe 4 or 5 LC100s, not very common at all. Owned one of them, sold it on. It was an ok guitar but original pickups are bad. That one was also in a bit of a rough condition, if i remember right? I agree the pickups are not the best, mine are very high outpu...

I still have the Jb (The pb is gone.) but I think i'll keep it for now.
Same with the cherry es-100 if I dont receive payment this week.

Guitar I wanted isn't available anymore so I don't need the money
and rather keep them all
