Re: WTB Set of DryZ’s

If you can find a set for $1000 i'd snap them up quick. I haven't seen any sell for that price in a long time.

Good luck bud.

I have an old CE300 Cats Eyes from '83. All Laminate. I'm in Canada so this is the guitar that goes in the canoe and gets played around the campfire for the badgers and the wolves etc... no need to worry aboot trashing something more expensive. Does it sound like a Martin D28 ?? No. It does sound pr...

Re: Newly bought Custom Edition Tokai. ID please.

I agree with mdvineng. I don't think the body is likely Tokai. The neck looks to be a Tokai with added string tree as mentioned and swapped out tuners. That board needs some conditioning with some lemon oil too.

Re: Broken E-string

If you were wailing so hard that you broke the thick E string then i'm betting the rest are fairly dead. When you get your new strings i would replace all of them, but i'd save the remaining 5 just in case you break another. Buy more than one pack of strings, the odds of breaking a string go up expo...

Re: What model is this SG

Real Korean Tokai Love Rocks/gibson clones have no serial number.

Yours is a real Made in China Tokai for the UK and other export places where the Gibson open book headstock is not allowed. The serial numbers font and style have changed for the Chinese ones over the years.

Re: Picked up an 03' Tokai Love Rock today, is it Japenese?

Yours is def MIJ. 2003 is a funny year because it falls between the 2000 catalog and the 2006 catalog. In 2000 your model was the LS75Q and in 2006 because of inflation it rose to become the LS90Q. Guitar came with MK2 pups originally. A kinda PAF/vintage styled pickup as so far as they are describe...

Re: Tokai LS90q without serial number

The serial numbers on MIJ Tokai's like Love Rock models are impressed into the back of the headstock. They are not always easy to see. I can't read that language but i'm betting the serial number is there. It does look real to me even if it left the factory without a serial for some reason... it doe...

Re: Reborn old LS80 question

Sorry for the confusion, my '81 is a LS120. I thought the double ring tuners were an oddity for that year on any model. Did the higher models still get double ring tuners further into the '80's ?
