I used the Epi Truss cover.
Had to sand down the bottom edge a bit to fit.

I would put any Japan Tokai on par with any Gibson Production LP. As for which year Tokais, I think it depends on the individual. Some guys just prefer the Rebourns, others their Love Rocks from a certain period. Others will say their new Love Rocks are as good as thier vintage Love Rocks. I really ...

From my experience I find the Hamamatsu products (Tokai, Diodati, others?) having a better fit and finish than the Fuji Gen Gakki products (Orville, Burny, Epiphone, Greco, Ibanez, Yamaha, etc..). Most noticable in the inlay work. I've noticed that from my Diodati and from up close pics of Tokai mod...

LP body thickness. Carved maple top with lightly figured veneer. Medium neck tenon = Extends to pickup ...

Oh, I'm not upset at all. As usual, post can't display emotion, so things can be taken wrong. I was just trying to give a headsup what the Elitist are about. I know because of the last few decades Epiphone has been revered as garbage. But, I truelly feel Jim Rosenberg trying to turn the company into...

Don't go by M.F. or Music123 pricing on the Epi Elitists. You can find them new for less. I've seen the LP Plus go for anywhere from $850 to $950 new. They are a very well built guitar. The solid bodies are made in the Fuji Gen Gakki plant. The semi- hollowbodies are made in the Tarada (?) palnt. Th...

My Diodati 59Q has the Gotoh pickups, and my Fernandes Ravelle deluxe has the Duncan Jazz/JB combo. I definitely prefer the Duncans over the Gotoh pickups. The JB cuts through very nicely. The Jazz has great clarity. Both sound great clean or with overdrive. Both has very nice definition. The Gotohs...

Remember when there was a time one would not even think of buying a Korean guitar. Heck, there was a time when they would'nt buy a Japan guitar.

Times have changed.

I think it's unfair to down MIK Tokais simply because they weren't made in Japan. That's elitist.
No, that's Epiphone(Fuji gen), not Tokai, that makes the Elitist.

;) :P

Have you tried the Brian Moore iM 2000 series?

Awesome guitars. made in Seoul, Korea.
By Cort maybe?.
The Conklin Groove Tool line is quite nice as well.

I like it.
I don't look at it as a LP, like the regular
Love Rocks.
This is a more wild edgey guitar.
Reminds me of the ESP/LTD EC1000

Very, very similar.
