Why aren't they seeking advice before they throw away their money on something that may or may not be fake? My guess is the amount of money involved being on the low side, maybe only a few hundred quid as the price tag, you see "Tokai" on the headstock and think "Billy Gibbons???" and take a punt. ...

Surprisingly, it would seem you know even less about me than you do vintage guitars. Educate yourself a bit before getting all upset again. Old Trafford, bask in the history. I disagree with people like you, who are wrong, and people like mijvintage, who break the rules. Neither of you princesses ta...

Yes, the body is the same, but wouldn't a "correct" copy have no veneer maple top and certainly not a cherry sunburst finish? I'm not saying in any way that it's a bad bass, simply that most people seeking a Fender clone would look for a plain alder body and traditional sunburst finish. I personally...

On the Cat it says Limited products - Does this mean only a handfull were made?? was that a good or bad thing? Generally the most valuable Tokai models are those which are closest to original Gibson and Fender designs. I would say that although more rare, and perhaps nicer than a straight Fender ba...

The Australians are always so lovely to be around. Another tough guy! Let's just let all these ridiculous honeymoon-guitar-purchase "facts" slide and have a big perfect burst clone party for the Bacchus. The fact that you are actually asking for proof that vintage Les Pauls has binding nibs shows th...

On second thought, your Bacchus was made by magical elves in exactly the same fashion as a '59 burst, in the only way a guitar can correctly be constructed to work. It is a very lucky thing your stoptail is angled because if it wasn't, you'd have to throw it on the heap with the other hundreds of th...

It is vital in IMO that this relationship is right for guitar of this design to adjust and work properly. Another completely ridiculous statement, on the heels of your "vintage Gibsons have no binding nibs" silliness. It's just plain wrong. A guitar can "adjust and work properly" with many tailpiec...
