Hi there I have had my new Tokai Breezy for about a week now, and I must say that it definitely is a keeper. I received her last Friday evening, put new .010 gauge strings on her (she came with .009 gauge strings) and played her on Saturday at a gig with my old Blues band. In combination with a Fend...

Diamond that will be the problem: This will be my first Tele ever, so I won?t be able to compare it to an old Tele :-( The only thing I could do is to go to Zurich and compare it to the guitars at GitarrenTotal: http://www.gitarrentotal.ch/taxonomy_menu/3/2/7/28/51 Maybe I?ll do that when I get the ...

Let's do the maths. The current Vintage RI Crafted in Japan Strats and Tele's are some of the best Fenders around, and that includes made in the USA Fenders...and we all know who makes the CIJ Fenders. So I guess these new Springy's and Breezy's must be high quality guitars, possibly as good as any...

New Tokai Breezy Sound guitars - what are they like?

Hi Gottfried (togps) has got some new Tokai Springys and Breezys. Has anybody had the chance to actually play one of these? I?m particularly interested in the Breezy models. After playing Strats for more than 25 years I decided to try a Tele. Gottfried sent me some really nice pics of those new Bree...

Hi Has anyone already had the pleasure of playing any of these new Springies/Breezies? I am currently looking for a Telecaster (my first one ever, after playing Strats for 25 years) and Gottfried sent me some really nice pics. I think I would go with the two-tone sunburst and the maple neck. Or shou...

Problem solved! I noticed some hum from my amp when I touched the pot body and shaft. As all wires to and from the pot seemed to be fine, I thought that the pot body might not have good contact with the brass grounding plate. So I just pressed the pot against the grounding plate, and then the pot wo...

Hi thanks for your quick reply. I?ve done a quick search for Alpha pots but there are so many of them I don?t know which would be the right one... What I know is that it must be 250k lin and that it should have a knurled shaft so that the original knobs will fit. But I don?t know how long the shaft ...

1981 Springy ST80 replacement pot

Hi I own an ?81 Springy ST80 and I need to replace the volume pot as it isn?t working anymore :-( Which pots did Tokai use in the early 80s? Are they available somewhere? Or are there any good replacement pots out there that would fit without drilling bigger holes into the scratchplate (CTS/Alpha/.....

Hi Gottfried told me that there was not so much of a difference between the ST-60 and ST-80 guitars except for the nitro finish, and I don?t really need a nitro finish, so I guess the ST-60 will be just fine. I hope it will be better than my Fender US Strat vom 1989... I?m interested in the differen...
