Re: where are you from?

Have seen SRV numerous times and Eric Johnson more times than I can count - he's worth seeing anytime especially if he's still doing the Ah Via Musicom shows with the original band. Got to meet Shohei Adachi (CEO of Tokai) numerous times at NAMM in the 9...

According to Peter's book all early ES models have the slim 60's U shape
Definitely not 60's slim taper. I have an 81 ES100J and they were built to 59 ES335 specs - right down to the neck profile and long pick guard.

Re: Covid-19 Question

Hey fellas.... lighten up. Do you think I live on a different planet and I'm oblivious to what the F is going on and affecting ALL of us, our families and loved ones? My intent of this post was to take our minds off of reality for a couple minutes to think about guitars..... guess I was wrong. "Real...

Covid-19 Question

Putting this out there for all of us...... what is the general thought about how the growing Covid-19 economic situation will affect buying/selling values of guitars?

Re: " 2020 TOKAI FORUM COOL GUITAR CONTEST! "

Honestly, I'd expected them to be all black too but it appears that I got an anomaly? From the years I've been looking for this Greco, they appear to be pretty rare. Here's the listing link of my purchase from Japan (I stole it at this price!). Scroll to the bottom for pics - thought there was one o...

Re: " 2020 TOKAI FORUM COOL GUITAR CONTEST! "

No, mine does..... a white inky stamp, 5 digits if I recall in the old vintage format - leading number is an 8 followed by a space and four additional numbers - kind of like the Mint Collection stamps. I'm actually out of town and don't have it in front of me.

Re: " 2020 TOKAI FORUM COOL GUITAR CONTEST! "

Still need to post pics but I got my hands on a Greco DE-70 double cut Danelectro 59 - the Jimmy Page model like this one: https://reverb.com/item/6309002-greco-de-70-1980-s-black Interestingly, the backside of the neck of mine is all black like the body. Arrived in great shape with the original bur...
