Tele front pickups

Hi!

RE:

If anyone knows of a maker, who screws there neck pickup to the body, rather than the pick guard, please drop me a line.

As far as I know, every Tele has the pickup screwed into the body - never on the pickguard.

Cheers,
Rob

Tokai Love Rock

Hi,

I have never shipped a guitar to the U.K. before.

I would need your full address and postal code in the U.K. to calculate it. If you could email me that information at:

rob@hagstromcanada.com

I would be happy to research it for you.

All the best,
Rob

My Strat

Good point, but actually I could have, as I got in 27 years ago when they were just a little more than a new one! I traded a Twin reverb for it (and a Black Face Tremolux that served me for years). I also have a Fender/Squire "JV" series Strat, that were the first Japanese made Fender 50's models. T...

Love(Rock) for Sale - 2001 Limited Edition for Sale on Ebay

Hi all,

I have listed my Cherry Burst Love Rock 2001 Limited Edition on Ebay.

As I have two of them, and have just bought an 84 Tokai Goldtop, something has to go!

It's a beauty, collectible and MINT.

With case.

Modifying guitars

Hi all, Here is my 2 cents worth .... if you are going to do anything to a guitar, think forward to 40 years from now and what they will think of it then. You might destroy the value of a future classic! When Peter Greene and Clapton and friends started playing the '50's Les Pauls, they could be hav...

Goldtop

Hi again, Thanks for the info! I bought this guitar from Japan, and it will be coming home here to Canada to join a pair of MM-2001 Limited Editions, a modified Tokai Tele beastie of some sort, and a Gold Top ALS58V (with the Tokai Bigsby). It looks like I will have to do a web page on what is becom...

Tokai Special

Hi,

I owned one of those once - I regret trading it now! It was a very fine axe and a LOT of fun to play. I did some research (including contacting Mike) and it seems they were indeed made in Korea

Congratulations!

I thought so

Hey again, I had to wonder as there are 2 listings that use the term "Custom Shop" on Ebay ... first is a really average looking Tokai Tele: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2546543756&category=2384 and the other is a Mikes Music guitar: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIte...

Tokai "Custom Shop"

Hi all!

Once in a while I see an Ebay ad for a "Custom Shop" Tokai.

Does (or did a "Custom Shop" ever exist?

Thanks,
Rob

Auction ended early

Hi OR WORSE, he got an offer on it and decided to rip the high bidder and not pay the Ebay fees. That has happened to me 3 times in the last 2 months for guitars. One of them even had the nerve to tell me "he had an offer he couldn't resist" when I emailed him and said "What happened to the auction?...
