i meant flaw as in the qc and consistency of production not being what they should be in a guitarsellng for those prices ... not "flaw" as in a b stock flaw ...

What are the differences, did one substitute the other acfter a name/ headstock/logo change? I understand goldstars are lesser models?

i would ve imagined there would be more differences than just the replaceable parts. Hmmm interesting. i owned an ss38 but it wasn t in very good condition. I ve always liked the cbs strat headstock ... Hmm - silvestar gas ...

back when i was more aware of the market, i seldom saw hi end sstars. all i found were 38s and maybe 40s.

how do the higher end ss compare to the st springys?

i was gonna ask, how do u differentiate the ss38 and 40s from the higher silverstars?also, which pickups do they carry?
