Famous in my book of blues rock Les Paul guitar players: Michael Vdelli from Perth, Australia who is on tour with Vdelli in Germany now and then. In this video he explains why his goldtop Love Rock is his "No.1 guitar". He has also modified it a bit with Grover tuners and Seymour Duncan mini-humbuck...

Hi, long time no see. I just tried to restore this thread by uploading the soundfiles and images to my new homepage. I think I got the links right except for one soundfile missing, the Super Distortion clone with the bass line which disappeared from my computers somehow during the last 10 years. :wi...

Sorry, I should have been clearer, it was your plain top with the Tom Holmes Pickups I was referring to! No, the two LS60 on the right side of the first picture belonged to my friend, and he has sold them in the meantime. I still have the LS120 and the LS60 on the left side. It's almost as if they ...

@felixcatus: Thanks for the link, did not find that one, or else I would have posted there. I'm always for recycling the usable things, you know. @Barks: I admit that the flamed maple top is not very visible in these pictures (maybe in the last one with greenish background), but it's definite...

Hi, long time no see. I wondered if I should start a new picture thread somewhere (as I could not find one with users actually playing their Tokais) or just add some live pics with my 1984 LS60 here. So here are three recent ones from the Bluezz Bastardzz gig at the Harley-Davidson Custom Mountain F...

Here's a non-photoshopped picture of the Reverend with a Tokai: http://freenet-homepage.de/bluezz_bastardzz/billy_gibbons_marshall_tokai_ad.jpg All hail the Reverend. A moment of silence please.  I don't think that's photoshopped, I'm sure I've seen that before and Billy stuck the 'Toka...

Recently I remixed "Set me free", a song from my second band Indigo Rocks. I added a rhythm guitar, backing vocals and a bit of slide guitar here and there, also enhanced the bass and treble sound and added reverb. It's done at home with the Audacity WAV editor, my Tokai LS120 with Gibson P-94 singl...

And another... Tommy Hidaka was the guy who lent his vintage originals to Tokai Gakki in the '70s, so they could copy them. At least that's what his Myspace site says: http://www.myspace.com/tommyhidaka There's also a great excerpt from one of his live recordings where he's shakin' it like Ko...

Another bump for this thread, because today I found a group for Tokai guitars when searching through Myspace: http://groups.myspace.com/TokaiGuitars I already invited forum members from the Bluezz Bastardzz friends list, but probably forgot some people, so you can simply join that group yourself if ...
