Cats Eyes CE350

I'm not much of an acoustic player (yet) but I've been wanting to find a decent one for the collection that I can start playing more. Just saw this one come up for sale and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me more about this guitar. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van/msg/d/vancouver-tokai-acoustic...

That white soundhole label is identical (except for model number) as my Made in Korea J200. I have thought it possible that this range could possibly part of the Canadian importers "Special Order". Not Japanese for sure. I know nothing about Tokai acoustics, it looks fairly decent. You think it is ...

Tokai TD28-N

Can anyone tell me more info about this guitar? I can't find anything on the internet. I found someone selling one, the add says it's from the 1960's. Do you think this is true? https://i.ibb.co/pyKLdhJ/tokai.jpg https://i.ibb.co/nPQ6Rc6/tokai2.jpg https://i.ibb.co/SPvg2K9/tokai3.jpg https://i.ibb.c...

16 ohm Speaker in 8 ohm combo amp

I'm picking up a new amp tomorrow (Marshall Studio 15) and I'd like to try a greenback in it. Someone locally is selling a 16 ohm greenback at a good price, but the original speaker in the amp is 8 ohm. Any amp/speaker gurus out there? Is this ok to do or should I just get an 8 ohm speaker to match ...

Ibanez SV5470 about 7 or 8 years ago. It has since moved on and the Tokai collection is growing.

If this an 1981 ( which the serial number and body stamp placing suggest then the electrics have been swapped out. The stamping of 'A' or 'B' on the scratchplate was discontinued in Early 1980 and as this looks very original, I can only suggest the change of electrics. Body looks 1 piece Sen. Check...

Got the guitar today! Definitely a cool one. I don't see any seem at all, looks like one piece for sure. A few minor little nicks but overall in really great condition. Average weight, if I had to guess I'd say around 7.5-8lbs, it's certainly not heavy. It has 9's on it right now, definitely want to...

Nice score ! Thanks! Got lucky with this one! As I’m sure you know, old Tokai like this don’t show up in the Canadian used market very often. I think the price was VERY good too looking at the condition and how rare it might be as a 1 piece ST80. It's always nice to get lucky !!! I saw that one mys...

Little update. Officially bought it today. It's still across the country, my buddy picked it up today. Hope to have it sometime this weekend, it has to travel back with a different friend. He's not a guitar guy but he sent me a few quick pics. https://preview.ibb.co/eJFLEK/IMG_1707.jpg https://previ...
