Re: Pots aka Potentiometers - A couple of interesting reads

Sorry you didn't find the supplied links of interest, nor the info on pots of use. I know I learned a few things from the two posted links, and I thought the info may be useful to others; possibly. My interest within the context of the thread was specific to pots, and was never about caps, nor cap ...

Re: Pots aka Potentiometers - A couple of interesting reads

Re: Pots aka Potentiometers - A couple of interesting reads

there never was anything magic about pots especially the common cry of I have fitted CTS pots and orange drop caps. A resistor is a resistor and only the taper is of any relevance and to some degree the ease of turning it. The colour of a cap is irrelevant, only the value and type matter.

Re: How to read the new tokai serial numbers?

Only the first 2 are significant, the rest are open to conjecture. Post pics and the full ser# for opinions. You can email Tokai Japan, they usually answer pretty quickly.

Re: Who made this guitar/factory wise ???

Yes, it is intriguing to know but the web is full of anecdotal tales and not much evidence! I have also seen tales of these small brands being made in a variety of factories depending on size of production runs, current capacity limits and prior commitments etc so for example an Antoria or Hondo cou...

I'm not convinced it's a Tokai either and most of the stuff on other forums referred to strats.

Re: Who made this guitar/factory wise ???

I wouldn't get hung up on the different routing, when you order enough, you can determine how it is setup.
