Nitro finish - does it affect tone significantly?

Indeed. Not just the OP's inquiry from 3 months ago, but also the mystique surrounding mojo. That said, if one enters a listing in the classified section, they are not allowed to state that the item they're selling has mojo, unless it has a nitro finish.

Nitro contains mojo. If your guitar does not have nitro, you won't have mojo. People have always wondered where mojo comes from, now you know. ;)

Is there a Bacchus 101/FAQ hidden somewhere in here?

1980 Love Rock vs Reborn Old

Hi Folks, I'm in the market for a guitar with a medium C type neck carve, medium to long tenon neck joint, 1 pc back, and clear coat with preferably a honeyburst, tobaccoburst or desert burst type of finish. Do both the Love Rock and Reborn Old LS80 model of 1980 have a 1 piece back and...

Love Rock LS-80 1985 Black - Antique White For Sale

I think it;s clear that the identity of The Phantom shall remain undisclosed, or undiscovered. This forum would most certainly vanquish in the wake of such being revealed. However, the identity of the guitar in question may be a simpler task. So, are we thinking LS80? I'm not one for painted...
