Do you guys know if there will be custom charges or other hidden costs? Again this is from US to Japan.
I know it is slow (months verse weeks) but SEA shipping is half the cost of EMS delivery. Is it reliable?
I tried the search again and found a good thread:
http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=10318&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=stamped+pickups+springy&start=0
The E's are vintage style pups, i.e. low output.
A low output bridge pickup can be difficult to deal with.
If I dont like it I...
Hi
you may remember me.
I bought a ST-50 Tokai Springy made in 1979
It has the original "U" pickups in it.
I have been very busy and havent played thru an amp yet.
Just LOVE the guitar. Best strat I ever laid my hands onl
Now for part II of my saga...
I got VERY lucky and snagged a loaded...
Do you guys find it just as enjoyable just looking at your Springy's as you do playing them. Like I am almost obsessed with looking at the pictures of the dang thing...

All great advice. Leave it as is. Thanks. Look at the pics if you will especially the closeup of the frets. I do think a fret level and dressing is in order dont you think? Now I just got to find somebody reliable local to do it.
Ha ha, love the joke!
I have agree with you, people can make too big of a deal of stuff like that.
But, I must say that there are some really cheap zinc/lead/pot-metal cast blocks out there that don't sound good.
It seems logical that the Tokai block is just fine. The Japanese at that...
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Callaham trem.
I just happen to have a Vintage spec Callaham bridge unused that I will try just as soon as I get the guitar. (I also have a set of real Fender Pat.Pend. saddles from the 1958 or so to go with it!)
Did your ears happen to notice any...
