    Breezysound neck wanted

Hi, I'm looking for a maple (with skunk stripe) breezy tele neck for my 1985/6 Te70. 7 1/4" vintage radius. I may also be interested in a rosewood board as long as it has the same vintage style specs. Necks from TE50s/80s I believe are the same? If anyone has a neck in fair/good condition...

    Pots of tone

OK thanks, I will post the results but it will be a couple of weeks before I put in my next mail order as I may as well get a few bits together for other projects when I'll be visiting the UK. Cheers :D

    Pots of tone

Hmm... thanks Paladin2019, that sounds really interesting. I have kept the original pot so I will get hold of some switch cleaner. My Breezy sat in its case almost un played for 20yrs for various reasons so I can't remember if the tone pot ever sounded any better. I'll probably try a Log pot...

    Pots of tone

Thanks AlanN, I bought a spare capacitor at the same time as the new pot so will try that next. I don't have a multimeter etc, only bought the soldering iron a couple of weeks ago!

    Pots of tone

Thanks Goestoeleven but I bought the new pot from a dedicated guitar parts dealer who's web page says Log pots are generally used for Volume and to choose Linear ones for tone. I don't think the problem lies with the new pot as the problem seems the same as with the original one- there is...

    Pots of tone

Was wondering if anyone can give me any info/advice re tone pots. I have a 25 yr old Breezy that I recently replaced the neck on and got it playing again. I am not at all clued up electrically, but as I live out in the sticks with not many spare pennies, I had a go at replacing the tone pot...

    Guitar choice help

Hi, a brand that I think you should have a look at for the price range is 'Rally'. Yes they are Chinese but the quality is very good IMHO. Prices new on ebay are around ?200. Mahogany body&set neck, real maple top and the pups sound fine to me. Nice action too. I have one and am very pleased...

    Finally sorted my Tokai Tele

Thanks Cheshirecat. They don't come up for sale often but I saw and bid on a Breezy maple ebay neck the same time I got this one. I wasn't that bothered about not winning as the Breezy frets were quite worn and my budget ain't high. I'm very pleased with this old mighty mite (?53) as the last...

    Finally sorted my Tokai Tele

Thanks John! I know its a bit of a hybrid now but I just wanted to play it. Its been interesting too re. finding the info about fitting the neck/nut and setting up, lining the cavities with copper foil etc and I feel I know my guitar a lot better.

    Finally sorted my Tokai Tele

Just wanted to report that I got a replacement neck for my 80s Breezysound Tele and to thank the forum members who helped me with information re. model info etc. I got a very early mighty mite neck (82) in the end and its a real nice one. Nice and straight, frets had been recently dressed...
