I just wondered because it seems to me that Tokai guitars have almost attained a kind of mythical status in the minds of some and I wonder if that doesn't help make their success and popularity almost self-fulfullilling.

It's just been pointed out to me that the bridge screws in my newly acquired BreezySound aren't factory originals. I was just wondering if someone might be able to post a close-up pic of their BS bridge so I can see the original screws and try to find something a bit more similar...
I would have thought that if it was a genuine Tokai it would have to have been pre-lawsuit to have been still using the Tele name. But if that had been the case it would surely have had the old-style Tokai logo with the backwards F too. Weird!
Thanks, toybitz, I'm starting to think you might be right about leaving it as it is (the body at least). It might look a bit rough but maybe that just adds to the character. But then there's a part of me that would love to take it back to the grain and just see what's under there. :roll: :lol...

After a few years watching and waiting I finally managed to find myself a BreezySound at a reasonable price ($NZ450). As far as I can make out form the registry info here I'm pretty sure it's an 84 model based on the number (L298438) and the headstock logo (pictured below).
