why have you been told to avoid the Korean models? I have a MIK Love Rock and it is a very cool sounding guitar. I would be interested to know the actual difference between a MIJ and MIK Tokai. In my opinion, my Korean Made Tokai is as good sounding as an AMerican Made Gibson.

Just talked to the salesman at the guitar shop and he insists that it is an alder body with a maple top. Who knows... I am probably making too much of nothing.

ok ... I just pulled my pickups out and checked, and what from what I could tell the wood had a reddish brown tint and didn't look like plywood... I have noticed that there are now a few surface scratches on the finish. What is the best way to get rid of the scratches? Jim Dunlop Formula 65...
