no more sightings? keep the thread going... my recommendation is to go to any used guitar shop in tokyo, they will have tokais (usually strats)

is there a difference in craftsmanship/quality (how's its put together mainly) between the two?

do silver stars have their saddles stamped with anything? i'm looking at getting a red 1983 tokai silver star (no spaghetti logo)... it just seems weird that they are not stamped.

that's what i'm thinking too the owner of that store is funny! he speaks near fluent english and probably knows more about stratocasters than anyone else on the planet! complete otaku. i wanna go drinking with the d00d... but yea, he only has to sell one guitar a year what an awesome job...

crazy for strats you say? go to: stratocrazy.com they have 3 or 4 vintage 57 strats right now you can buy one if you have about $30,000

its a store, not a person i saw a goldstar and a springy sound as well, however they were about 50,000 and 60,000 yen

should i wait for a higher model/earlier model to show up or?

gold star? silverstar? i've heard many good things about the silver star... what do the people say about the gold star?
