Here is my 2008 LS-150Q w/ Oak Finish

Sound interesting but i already have a great strat with a rosewood neck. Wouldnt want to replace it or play anything else. Was looking for a maple neck to get a brighter sound but never mind.

Iv got some spare cash, and i was looking at another guitar. Any tokai strat, from any age. Price range ?300 maybe a lil bit more. Maple neck maybe? Thanks

The pickup slelector is not bad, and it is never vague. i like it. I have never heard of these late 90's 00's strat. i thought they stopeed good goldstars a long time ago?

Hey, Im not a pro at id'ing the goldstars, but i bought one that is similar to this one. Straight away the ehadstock looks a lil strange to me, its elongated or soemthing, maybe thats jsut me. But best bet is to take off the scartch plate and get some nubmers if ther aer any. good luck, mine...

Does that include the orange cab ? cos otherwise i have a Tokai LS-150....

Well i puts some 0.10's on, and now the frets seem really shallow, and the neck is dead straight, with a slight bit of curvuture like any neck should. but who knows really...

Maybe that is the case, im finding that the strings always feel a little too high in action, but then when i lower it, they start to buzz really bad... And i cant even upgrade the pickups cos, i blown all the money on a new wah pedal! Oh dear i fail at life... :( But thanks for your comments

Thank you for your replies. So changing the pots and wiring will not make a difference to the tone. and you say that the only reason to change a 5-way switch is that it can be a bit vague... I find it ok and you can feel the notches very well when you are changing so i guess i wont change that...

I see, but havent Tokai stopped making goldstar in japan in the 80;s. Because i am very confused. This was not made in the 80's but in 2000 or so. The headstock is a different shape to some new tokais i have seen. the scratchplate is also different. the new tokais have this wierd rounded thing...

Hey, thanks for all your replies, it really has helped. So we have established that this is a genuine tokai strat. From the 90-00 but i thought that tokai stoped making strats after the 80's...? So do you think that this is a bad guitar? Like the rosewood slab board thing... Whats the difference...
