Hi all, not sure if this is the right thread to post this in, but i know it's an old ad, so 'vintage' thread it is. many of you have seen the ad i'm looking for. it has an exploded picture of a springy or goldstar, with all of the parts un-bolted and exposed. the heading reads something like...

i just put a Joe Barden bridge/saddle set on my TTE-50. it's the compensated three-saddle brass version. i can highly recommend it. i will never put my six-saddle version back on. the difference in sustain, and just all-around coupling is ridiculous. search ebay for "joe barden telecaster...

the newer korean ones i've played (about 3) are horrific. terrible, terrible excuses for a strat. get an older MIJ one.

i have a 1984 black/maple neck ST-40 goldstar. i performed the usual mods: pickups, tuners, jack, toggle, pots, (to 500k) wiring. it is my main strat now, and it's great. i can recommend rio grande "vintage tallboys" (http://www.riograndepickups.com/2.html). i've never heard the Lollar pickups...
