i have used the term "faux binding" for awhile. as it was explained to me nib binding as you called it was considered "true" neck binding. where as the other way was to give the apperence of neck binding at a lower price point with out the functionality of "true" neck binding, seeing as cutting...
does the es120 have a true neck binding (covers the fret ends) or does it have a faux neck binding like most korean guitars where the frets are laid on top of the binding
the 120 is finished with nitro laquer. the finish will crack on it. same with gibby lp's tempeture changes and humidity can cause the cracking or "checking" as some refer to it.
or check a wolfe p90. he'll custom wind you one to sound like any sound clip you send him, great guy. i was never a fan of the p100 i think the single coil noise is a part of the charm. the sd hot is also a killer replacement

i was looking into getting an es60 in either flame cherry or flame amber. could anyone who owns one post some pics for me so i can get a good look? whats everyones opinion on them after owning them for awhile? do you feel they are superior to say an epiphone dot?
